Pre New Year’s Eve Concerts. We need help to sell tickets during special pre-New Year’s Concerts on Sunday, December 29 and Monday, December 30 from 1:30 until 4 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Hotel Indigo where students will be performing.

“Rockin’ on the River!” Help us with the free dance and fireworks celebration on the Waterfront at the end of the evening. We need help from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. as we kick off the New Year in style.

On the Signup Form, go to the category that interests you and find the best shift and venue for you.

If you are willing to be placed at any of our venues at any time of the day (from Noon to 11:30 p.m.) please check this box and you are done. If you want to volunteer for our regular evening shifts, but have no preference of venue there is a “No Venue Preference” in the REGULAR EVENING SHIFTS section.

Pre-NYE Concerts (December 29 & 30), and help with “Rockin’ on the River” late night on NYE (Shift is 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.).

If you have some familiarity with “SMART” devices and/or experience running a cash register, your help is needed in this area. We will train you (it is easy!). Most of this job will be explaining how to purchase tickets on line and a few cash sales. You will also help patrons find their way to a good venue or answer general questions about the evening. If you are good at explaining things, are helpful and personable, this is the job for you! Shifts start at 2 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.

These are shifts for each performance venue. Descriptions of the performances and the location of each of these venues can be found on the main website at http://www.firstnightalexandria.org. If you don’t have a preferred venue you can select one of the “No Venue Preference” options and we will put you where you are needed most. Normal shifts are 6 to 9 p.m. and 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.

A New Year’s Eve celebration for families with children 12 and under! There are four (4) locations focused on fun for kids. Volunteers help with face painting, kids games, mall shipbuilding, balloons, and lots of other fun things in a special place designed just for youngsters. Shifts are 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.
